Unit Load Design

To insure that no detail is overlooked, our custom plastic pallet process starts with an extensive review and understanding of a customer's supply chain.

In addition to working one-on-one with our customers, our technical sales director is an Advisory Board Member at Virginia Tech and has written several articles and resource guides for pallets. The Center for Unit Load Design at Virginia Tech is the only laboratory with facilities to evaluate all aspects of unit load and material handling design and efficiency.

Custom Pallet 3-D Diagrams

Based on our detailed analysis, the engineers at Nelson Company develop a proposed pallet design. The designs are later presented as three dimensional (3-D) diagrams to help our customers better visualize our custom pallet designs.

Pallet Retrieval System

Our materials handling service doesn't end with the custom development of pallets. Once a plastic pallet has been designed and produced, the Nelson Company can arrange to retrieve and return plastic pallets back to you or your customers. Our Internet-based management system NelsonArt allows customers to track pallets through the supply chain always flagging when additional inventory is needed.
